I will nevere every every use this service again, first the tech came out, I told the scheduling person Chase I have silver fish and I really want this treated. It rained the firday before he came out I told them that was ok not to treat the outside but come in and treat the silver fish. He treated the outside any way, came very nice tech, but yet staying he didnt like treating silver fish with dust, he like to bait. So I stop him and told to reschedule with bait, some would call monday to reschedulled, never got a call I called spoke to a girl I couldnt determine if she rescheduled me or not. The same day Chase call, going to help me, told me he would call me back in 20 min, and to this day have never received a return call. So satuday the 6th, a tech arrived nice guy, but he started throwing these little square packs around the house. I asked him what he was doing this is the bait, how does it work he picked up the box and read it then he told, shouldnt he have know what he was doing, so I told him we had just rented the house and these little square where all ober the house, he said that mean u had silver fish when you moved in, thats right so maybe I need something diffirent, anyway never again, still got bugs. after paying $107. I will never recommend you and will find a blog to let other know

Silverfish are one of the more difficult pests to control. In addition to pest control materials, sticky traps are used to reduce the silverfish numbers when placed in and around infested areas. Removing moisture and humidity is quite effective, too. Homeowners can seal cracks and crevices and remove leaf and grass piles from the immediate vicinity of the home. I recently bought a home with the Taexx system built in and it was a nice selling feature but when I went to set up service with Home Team Pest Defense and found out they charge more than twice as much for pest control treatment as their competitors I was a little less enamored with the Taexx system. I called other companies to set up service and was repeatedly told that Home Team “owns” the Taexx system built into my house and no other company can use it to treat my house (they can only spray the old way). So I thought, well let’s at least get one treatment using the Taexx system so the stuff is in the walls, but Home Team will not come out to treat the home using the Taex system unless I sign a contract to have them treat it every quarter for twice what competitors charge ($150 quarterly versus $65-70 quarterly). They wouldn’t even give me a price to have it treated just once, insisting I have to sign a contract. Suffice it to say I now think the Taexx system is a scam and a rip off. I paid for the Taexx system(in the price of my house) but I can’t use unless I pay outrageous prices because Home Defense “owns” it.

I read that Orkin and a few other companies are owned all by the same company as Hometeam so I do not understand why one is bound to only one option being that they are all basically under one company. It’s not like you have a choice when you buy the home it comes with, and like the gentlemen above says, I paid for the installation within my home purchase. Have not gotten my quote yet, so hoping it won’t be as bad as listed above, because if it is, it will be a terrible injustice for home buyers like myself who were persuaded to buy “economically” priced homes and then get hit over the head with expensive contracts to occupy them without pests. Still maintaining the faith until further info is provided to me….
We bought a house 2 years ago. Just found a TAEXX system outside the wall yesterday. I Immediatly surf the web and learned what the system is. Called them this morning to asked how much only for the wall pesticide since TaeXX system is already there. They said they don’t do just spraying with the Taexx that I need to buy the package which is so expensive compare to the other company. I do perimeter spraying myself. And since Taexx is already installed I only need them to spray the wall. If a person can’t afford the whole package they would go to another company then they loose customer like me. And maybe a lot more like me.
If a chemical gas is put behind your walls under pressure you are going to be breathing the gas also. They will tell you it will not harm you at that low pressure. It does come through the walls anywhere that it can. Thats how my baby got sick.

Our Taexx pest control service treatments are performed from external service ports. Our company has conducted two independent 3rd party air quality research studies. There are no traceable amounts of pest control material in the air.
